Owner Lauren Lee started Oma’s Vintage Plates when her own daughter was planning a vintage wedding. Her daughter had a vision, and Lee took that vision and ran with it. After time, there were so many plates Lee had collected that she was able to upgrade and collect quality German, US, and European made china ware. And the collection doesn’t stop there. Oma’s also offers a quality selection of wedding accessories such as vintage birdcages, silver pieces, cake platters, and Ball jars. This new installation of accessories is quickly making Oma’s a one-stop shop for all of your vintage needs.
Based on availability of products, a 50% deposit is to be paid up-front to hold a space for the rentals. Payment in full is paid on the day the rentals arrive. After the reception is over, any broken pieces are taken out of the expenses and refunded in the deposit.
The cost for these unique vintage pieces depends on the size and number of plates rented, but they usually run anywhere from $2-$5 per plate. Accessories vary from $3 (Ball jars) to $50 (birdcages). Lee states, “China is like history. It’s art and history combined and I love beautiful things and to be able to collect historical pieces.” These floral and delicate plates have color patterns that go with any and every color. The neutrals and handcrafted colors blend effortlessly with any color scheme. The wonderful thing about these wonderful plates is that they can be dressed up or dressed down, shabby or chic. The accessories, such as the Ball jars, are multifunctional as well, as they can be converted into vases for your wedding flowers.
